Designing a Whole School Learning Architecture - Part 1&2

Designing a Whole School Learning Architecture - Part 1&2
These sessions run in two parts: Part 1: 13 & 14 February 2020 Part 2: 12 & 13 March 2020 Registration is to attend all four days.

This four day program is designed to provide participants with a model for implementing a whole school approach to designing a learning architecture that supports and strengthens a learning community and aligns with the FISO Framework: Excellence in Teaching and Learning

Participants and their schools will need to commit to all parts in order to maximize the benefits for their school community. It is highly recommended that schools identify teams (maximum four) to attend these workshops. Teams should include a member of the Principal Class, Leading Teacher and/or Learning Specialist with responsibility for curriculum and teaching and learning, so that schools develop “a large volunteer army from up, down and across the organization to serve as the change engine.” (John Kotter, 2014) It is also highly recommended that the teams remain consistent throughout the year, to maximise skill building and capacity to implement the learning architecture at the school level.

This highly praised program presents a successfully implemented framework, Designing for Deep Learning, which addresses the need for developing a contextually relevant learning architecture in schools. This two-part program will provide participants with the opportunity to explore this framework and determine ‘entry points’ for their school.
