Strengths of the regional group

We have a good representation of members at our meetings - Principals and Assistant Principals - generally about 35 members although we would obviously encourage every member to attend. Collegiate support is excellent and leadership, mentoring and shadowing programs are well supported in the West. Aspirants attend our meetings and their success is recognised with many being promoted to and within the Principal Class. Our group is very well supported by the Region Personnel who also attend our meetings.

Goals of the regional group
  • Support the Principal Class in the West to achieve the best possible outcomes for the students in their school.
  • Increase membership and attendance at our meetings and VASSP sub-committee meetings so that "the West" is represented at all forums.
  • Continue to support our members in all areas of work and wellbeing.
  • Provide a forum for members to raise issues at a Regional and State level.
  • Recognise, share and celebrate success with colleagues.
